Space explosions and killing planets are what the new edition to the Guardians of the Galaxy cinematic universe is all about. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” has been hyped up since the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” movie came out on Aug. 1, 2014. Ever since the second movie was announced at the end of the first movie, I was excited to see Marvel expand on the plot and it’s characters, and baby Groot…. Mainly baby Groot.

When the whole “The Fault in Our Stars” craze was around, I jumped on the bandwagon and read it. When I read the book, I was just questioning all of John Green’s literary metaphors and symbols thinking he was some weird author trying to act cool. But it wasn’t until I reread it years later (AKA a few weeks ago) that I fell in love with the characters Green wrote about. Staff writers Juliette Fournet and Vitoria Garcia
We spend so much time watching TV shows and most of them we watch because we are bored and they don’t add substance to our lives, but not this show. “13 Reasons Why” has changed many lives for good and bad. The TV show, “13 Reasons Why,” on Netflix became one of the most talked topics this spring. Due to the popularity people showed toward this show, many teenagers and young adults started watching it. But because of the content of the show, it became one of the most controversial shows on Netflix. Staff writer Kyra Koellen
Maddy’s whole world is just her nurse, mom and her sickness that keeps her from going outside. Maddy had only been outside when she was little and then she began to get sick. The book is written by Nicola Yoon, and in the book Maddy has severe combined immunodeficiency, also known as “bubble baby disease,” which is a genetic disorder that leaves the body with a weakened immune system, making infants extremely vulnerable to illness. Due to her sickness she's stuck inside her house, and if she left her house she would die due to her weak immune system. Everyday is exactly the same until a teenage boy named Olly moves in next door to Maddy. From the moment Maddy saw Olly things changed. Olly made Maddy find a new part of herself when they met that makes her decide to make the biggest decision of her life and leave her house. Maddy wants to know what it's like to really be alive so she leaves. She leaves even though her mom tells Maddy to never leave the house. She is very overprotective in the book. Maddy and Olly go to Hawaii by paying for it with a credit card Maddy made to have an adventure, fall more in love and risk everything. Maddy is willing to sacrifice everything to just live one perfect day. I agree that she should go outside because she has lived her whole life not knowing truly how sick she is. When Maddy feels what it's like to be out in the world and not be stuck inside her house she decides she's not going to live trapped in that house anymore. Everything changes though when Maddy finds out some life changing news. Staff writer Matt Shaffer
What if Batman was made into a TV show you can play and make you own decision on. The Batman Telltale game series is just that, and is about how Bruce Wayne and Batman are living the same life. The Telltale games are the best made series of games. The reason for this is because they come out in seasons and episodes. It's like watching a show that you get to make your own decisions with. For every decision there is four decisions to make and for every decision you make, you can completely change the storyline of the game. That's why everyone loves Telltale games. The smell of buttered popcorn filled the lobby. We sloshed through the crowd to buy our tickets for the movie. The movie every comic-book fan has been dying to see. “Logan.” At first I was hesitant about seeing “Logan.” I was never a huge sci-fi fan, nor did I really enjoy watching superhero movies. However my friend, who I hadn’t seen in six months, invited me to go see it with her. Can I say I can never thank her enough for taking me. I was very happy with the plot of the movie, the characters, even the ending to the movie wasn’t all that bad. Staff writers Vitoria Silveira Garcia and Juliette Fournet

Book: ⅘ stars Movie: ⅗ stars “Allegiant” is the final book in Veronica Roth’s three book series “The Divergent Series”, and my least favorite book from the three book installment. Don't get me wrong, I loved all the books, I was just more into reading the previous two books Roth wrote. Like stated for “Insurgent” in last month’s issue of Chasing The Storm, the book and the movie have very different plot lines. However I did enjoy both of the plot lines, even if the movie didn’t follow along with the book.
