Hello IPHS, I am an exchange student from Brazil that came to the U.S.A for many reasons. The principal ones are to experience the most diverse and weird things I could experience, to learn everything that any person wanted to teach me and I don’t mean just school subjects, I mean life matters, things that sometimes people teach you without even noticing that make the most difference, that change people. Last but not least, I wanted to create bonds with people, my family, friends, people that I didn’t think that I was going to have those kind of bonds with. Before I came here I was trying my best to not expect a lot, because I feel that this is sometimes what makes some people’s experiences seem not that great, and it worked! I have an amazing host family, amazing friends and I can say that I had an amazing exchange program. Of course that sometimes you expect more than you even realize. I had my disappointments like every teenager has and I cried about it, and I fought for it, and sometimes they were solved and sometimes they weren’t. But like any other moment in life, I have my ups and downs.

From the pro-life perspective, abortion is the murder of an innocent human being; a human being who didn’t have a chance in life. From the pro choice perspective, the fetus is not a person until it comes out of the womb, but evidently an unborn child is a human being from the very second a sperm fuses with an egg because at that very moment the child has his/her own DNA. After the egg(s) is fertilized the child has 46 chromosomes. This means that by standard biological definition the fetus is, in fact, a human being. Staff writer Juliette Fournet
Abortion is one of the most complex debates of our society. Each one of us have our own opinion about it. But I'm going to try to explain why I think the right to have an abortion is a fundamental right for women all over the world. Staff writer Vitoria Silveira Garcia
One of the most controversial subjects in schools around the world is uniforms. Many students ask themselves, why should we have uniforms? How do uniforms contribute to our academic life? I always was one of the students that asked that question. In my mind, I asked why is this so important? Why are there so many rules when your life is already stressful? So here are some of the reasons why schools obligate their students to use uniforms. Staff writer Kiersten Moss
According to the National Center of Educational Statistics, 16.5 percent of schools in the United States use uniforms. Whatever your opinion is on uniforms, I feel as if they’re counter-productive, and here’s why. Contributing reporter Carlie Hess
According to a website called Mrs. Carson’s Classes, she believes students should be able to eat in every class. Eating is a way to fuel student’s bodys, as well keep students aware during class and limit some stress of school. With all the positives of eating in every class, shouldn’t students be able to eat in class? Staff writer Kyra Koellen

This game is called “For Honor,” it is about three factions that are destined to forever be in war with each other. There are the knights, the vikings, and the samurai. When this game first came out it wasn't supposed to have a story line. It shocked all of the gamers when it came out and did have a story line. Staff writer Cayla Vaughan
“Insurgent” takes place only a day or two after the end of “Divergent”. In the previous book, a horrible event occurred, which was operated by Erudite leader Jeanine Matthews. While this event unfolded, Tris did something she deeply regrets. Long story short, three important main characters died, and she feels it is her fault. She constantly has nightmares, and is shaken from the whole event. Tris and Four left the city of Chicago to go outside the wall to the Amity compound for a safe haven.
