The crawly legs. The 30 eyes. The sanitized tip of the silver needle. These all have one thing in common. Fear. The flexible, small legs crawling. The glistening of the spider web in the light. This is what Science teacher Ms. Sara Schultz is afraid of...spiders. “I hate spiders,” Schultz said. “When I was younger I grew up in this house. In the basement there was a rocking chair and I sat in it. Apparently, without me noticing a spider went up the back of the chair and onto my hair. It made its way up to my face.”

Fifteen students, one Christmas sweater, and one gift card. Who will win the prize? Recently, the school’s Instagram page has been far more active, both with the page’s posts and with the page’s followers. There has even been a contest on the Instagram page. The contest was on Dec. 13, and the task was to find the teacher wearing a specific Christmas sweater. The reward was a $5 gift card to Starbucks. The directions to participate in the contest were to follow the IPS Instagram page, like the post of the sweater, and try to find the teacher wearing that sweater after school that day at 2:05 p.m. Staff writer Kyra Koellen
